AVGS PLAYER EVALUATION DAY WHEN:Saturday, January 12th, 2008 WHERE:AlisoViejoCommunityPark 111 Park Avenue next to AlisoViejoMiddle School
What is it for? Player evaluations are where the skills of all players from the league are evaluated by the coaches in their division to balance the teams fairly at team formation (draft).
Who participates? All Divisions except for T-ball (6 and under) are required to participate regardless of previous years of experience or playing on an All-Star team or in AVGS or any other league.Plan on approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours at the fields for check in at registration and playing time.
What will we be doing? Players will be hitting, fielding, running and throwing and should therefore bring their glove, appropriate attire (based on weather conditions), a visor if they feel necessary and a water bottle.Players should also be wearing cleats and are encouraged to bring a helmet if they own one.
PITCHERS ALL Players who pitched in even ONE game in the past fall or spring season OR who have taken pitching lessons in the past year OR who are even considering or interested in being a pitcher for the 2008 spring season MUST attend pitching evaluations (this includes Manager and Coach's daughters). Times will be determined shortly for the afternoon of Jan 5th. Players should bring their glove and an adult to catch for them.
Pitcher evaluation schedule: 12U Minor division at 2:45 pm, 10U Rookie division at 3:15 pm, 8U Mini division at 3:45 pm.
PARENTS:Please bring your signed waiver and photocopy of player’s birth certificate and payment if you have not yet turned it in prior to evaluations.Registration is not complete until received!
